If Game Master shows Unable to place as max budget has been reached, a budget limit is preventing you from placing more entities, such as units or vehicles. The Disable Game Master Budgets mod by ceoofbacon adds a toggle to turn these budgets off. Budgets remain enabled by default, so installing the mod alone does not disable them.

Before you start
- You need permission to change your instance's Workshop settings and restart the server, plus access to Game Master in-game.
- Check the mod's Workshop page for compatibility information before installing it.
- The shortcuts below use the default PC controls. If you have changed your key bindings, use your assigned keys.
Step 1: Install and save the mod
- Open your Arma Reforger instance in PowerupStack and select Workshop.
- Enter
5F2944B7474F043Fin Workshop URL or mod ID, then click Add mod. - If a dependency prompt appears, click Add all to include the required mods.
- Check that Disable Game Master Budgets appears under Configured mods.
- Click Save mod list and wait for Mod list saved. Restart the server to apply changes.
For more detail or help with adding the mod, see How to install mods on your Arma Reforger server.

Step 2: Restart the server
Restart the server to load the saved mod list. Open Console and check for mod loading errors while it starts. Wait for the server to become available before joining.
Step 3: Open scenario properties in Game Master
- Join your server in Arma Reforger.
- Log in as an administrator and open Game Master. Follow the Game Master guide if you have not set up access yet.
- While in Game Master, press
Vto open Scenario properties.
Step 4: Disable budgets and test spawning
- In Scenario properties, select the Game tab and scroll to Enable Game Master Budgets.
- Set it to No.
- Press
Escto Save and close. - Try placing a unit or vehicle that was previously blocked by the budget limit.

To re-enable budgets, return to the same setting, select Yes, and save and close again.
Disabling budgets does not increase server capacity. Spawning too many units or vehicles can cause lag or instability. Add them gradually and remove unneeded entities if performance drops.
Troubleshooting
- Enable Game Master Budgets is missing: Check that the mod list was saved and the server restarted. Look for mod loading errors in Console, and check the mod's Workshop page for compatibility information. Open Scenario properties while in Game Master and scroll through the Game tab.
- The budget message still appears: Reopen Scenario properties, confirm Enable Game Master Budgets is set to No, and use Save and close before testing again. If the message returns after a restart or scenario change, check the setting again. If it persists, review console errors and the mod's compatibility with your scenario and other mods.
- The scenario is not prepared for Game Master: This is a separate warning from the budget message, also visible in the first screenshot. Disabling budgets does not make a scenario compatible with Game Master. See the Game Master guide for help selecting a Game Master scenario.
