How to become Game Master on your Arma Reforger server

Game Master lets you direct the action on your Arma Reforger server by placing units, spawning vehicles, and changing scenario settings. Follow these steps to access it using your server's administrator password.

• You need access to your instance's Options page in PowerupStack and a copy of Arma Reforger to join the server.
• The keyboard shortcuts below use the default PC controls. If you have changed your bindings, use your assigned keys.

1. Open your Arma Reforger instance in PowerupStack and select Options.
2. Find Administrator password. Enter a strong password without spaces, or use the Generate password button.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
4. Restart the server to apply the change, then wait for it to become available before joining.

Administrator password grants in-game administrator access. Server password controls who can join the server. Leaving Administrator password empty disables password login for administrators.

1. Join your server in Arma Reforger.
2. Open text chat with Enter while in-game, or C in the lobby.

3. Type the following command, replacing YOUR_ADMIN_PASSWORD with the administrator password you saved in step 1:

   #login YOUR_ADMIN_PASSWORD
   

4. Press Enter to submit the command.

Keep the # at the start and one space between #login and your password. The placeholder is not a password to copy literally. Bohemia's server configuration documentation describes the login command and the restriction on spaces in administrator passwords.

Press Esc to open the pause menu, then select Game Master. Once the Game Master interface opens, you can place units and vehicles and direct the scenario.

While in Game Master, press V to open Scenario properties. Use this panel to adjust settings such as the time of day and weather. Available settings depend on the scenario.

• The login command does not work: Check that you used the Administrator password, included #login, and replaced the placeholder with your actual password. The password must not contain spaces. If you changed it, save the instance options and restart the server before trying again.
• Game Master is unavailable: Confirm that you have logged in as an administrator. If it remains unavailable, check whether your active scenario or mods restrict Game Master access.
• The scenario is not prepared for Game Master: The warning shown in the screenshot means the current scenario is not designed for Game Master use, so unexpected behavior may occur. For a dedicated Game Master session, open Options → Scenario resource ID and choose Game Master - Everon, Game Master - Arland, or Game Master - Kolguyev. Save and restart the server to load the selected scenario.
• A shortcut does not work: Open Settings → Controls and check your key bindings. Press V while the Game Master interface is open to edit scenario properties.
