Plan fit

A practical way to start small

Choose this plan for a small Minecraft server, occasional sessions, or a first world without a hosting fee. Upgrade later without rebuilding your community from scratch.

Minecraft performance depends on the work completed each tick. More entities, active chunks, plugins, and modpack logic increase CPU demand, while larger worlds and modpacks also need enough RAM.

Regional hardware

Processor hardware can vary by region. Choose a location to see the host CPU available for this tier there.

Hardware details are not currently available for this region.

Host core and thread counts describe the physical processor. Your server receives the CPU allocation shown in the plan specifications above, not the entire host CPU.

It is not a trial. Your server can stay on the free tier, with no compute or storage charge. You can upgrade later if you need more resources or paid-plan features.

Free servers can install approved plugins from the workshop. Keeping the list vetted helps protect free-tier stability and prevent abuse. A paid plan gives you more freedom to install plugins outside that list.

Yes. You can move from the free tier to a paid plan whenever you need more resources, 24/7 uptime, or additional features. You can also switch between paid plans later. Moving a paid server back to the free tier is not currently supported.

Both Minecraft Java Edition and Minecraft Bedrock Edition servers are supported.

Free servers do not stay running 24/7. Auto start on join lets players connect when the server is offline and starts it automatically. Paid plans support true 24/7 uptime, while on-demand billing can still reduce costs when you stop the server between sessions.

There is no player-count limit. Minecraft defaults to 20 player slots, but you can configure a higher value. The advertised player count is only a recommendation: realistic capacity depends on the server software, mods, plugins and other customization, player activity, and whether players stay close together or spread out.

Free-server storage cannot be retained indefinitely when a server is inactive. Verified accounts generally retain data for about two months of inactivity; data on unverified accounts may be removed after about two weeks.

We send an email before removing a server so you have time to act. Deleted data cannot be recovered, so start the server regularly and keep your account email current.

Minecraft servers are currently available in Europe, North America, Singapore, and Australia. Free-tier capacity can vary by region; choose an available location close to most of your players for the best latency.
